Lytton Plaza is ours. Do you know how long it took to scrape the paint off the new planters? Maybe we like our decrepid plaza. It's our home.

The same could be said about the plaza outside City Hall which is where I park when I need to go downtown. Ugh.

It's a hangout, plain and simple.

There is an art to creatng functional public space - places where people naturally want to meet and commune. Lytton serves that purpose.

The argument here is more about WHO frequents Lytton, than what it is, or looks like.

Steal a march from Foothill Park and limit Lytton Plaza to Palo Alto residents.
