Original post made on May 3, 2012

I would LOVE to see a drug test done on this guy, since his blood is so readily available.

Such a shame he couldn't complete his burglary.

Well, I do not really wish harm on him, or on anyone else, but I do think it would be worthwhile checking him out and seeing why he did what he did. Drugs or alcohol could explain both why he did it and why it went so wrong. Seems like both he and society should be protected from his actions.

Follow-on question: Okay, this burglary went wrong, but were there other, previous burglaries by this guy that went better?

If he had succumbed to his injury, we would have another candidate for the Darwin Award.

As far as constituting the crime of burglary Jay from Midtown, all the prosecution needs to establish is entry into the building with the intent to steal something. The crime of burglary was established as soon as this guy entered the building. A removal or taking of property need not occur.

La Bamba's carnitas are top notch. I hope they're OK.
