A guide for the guide dogs

Ever since she was 8 years old, Alana Schwartz has trained guide dogs for blind and visually impaired persons. A senior at Palo Alto High School, Schwartz, 18, is training her ninth dog, a yellow Labrador retriever named Andretti.

Alana, great job. Important contribution to the community. As a parent I understand how difficult it is to part with the dog at the end, after endless hours spend training the friend!

You are making one person independent! Good luck to you!
