Soldier, injured in Afghanistan, gets Purple Heart in Palo Alto

An army soldier severely injured in Afghanistan this summer was presented with the Purple Heart on Tuesday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Palo Alto, where he has been undergoing rehab since September.

G-d bless him and all the doctors, nurses and "care team" members at the VA and the Fisher House. We should consider ourselves deeply honored to have such a brave guy staying with us here in Palo Alto.
Every time I drive by I think of the good work they are doing over there and point it out to my kids that its a very special place.
