Original post made on Dec 16, 2011

Many thanks to Karla Kane for this lovely piece. It is good to remember our four-footed (and otherwise) companions at holiday time, as well as all the critters in shelters awaiting homes.

Kudos to those who help animals through donations, volunteer work, special treats, or just plain love.

The degradation of Christmas continues unabated.
And money to burn on creatures who don't know the difference. The over attachment to a pet is not natural.
