Military Madness Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by Ted Rudow III,MA, a member of the Palo Alto High School community, on Dec 3, 2010 at 11:41 am
Despite sustained denials by the Pentagon, the leaked cables from WikiLeaks confirm that U.S. military special operations forces have been secretly working with the Pakistani military to conduct offensive operations and coordinate drone strikes in the areas near the Afghan border.
Pentagon spokesperson Geoff Morrell called it "conspiratorial" and explicitly denied that US special operations forces were doing anything other than "training" in Pakistan.
But in modern years, recent years, they go to war for commercial reasons, they're trade wars. Nearly every one of America's wars were for some kind of trade advantage or money or for territory-which of course were always fought under different excuses, even as far back as the Civil War. Roosevelt was informed ahead of time that the Japanese were going to strike Pearl Harbor, even of the hour, and this all came out years afterward, but he never did a thing and never let the information out to the Armed Services or anything because he knew that was the only thing that would make the American people mad enough to go to war. So Sunday morning came, Dec. 7, 1941, at Pearl Harbor, and, as usual, the military services all took the day off. Of course then this was played up into big propaganda: “A horrible atrocity, the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor” and “a terrible slaughter,” “a stab in our back” and all of this stuff, and it did it. It made the Americans mad enough, and the very next day Congress met and declared war — WWII
Before every war, there's a long period of mental conditioning and psychological preparation. You never saw how self-righteous nations can get just before a war! So righteous and so convinced that they are right and the other fellow's the criminal, the devil who needs to be conquered! "FROM WHENCE COME WARS?"

All wars, I can think of NO exception modern or throughout "pre-modern" times were for "gain" of one party over the other in land, resources or opportunity.
People don't fight, get injured and die for any other reason.
Sometimes we get lucky and it gets tied to something good, like gaining freedom, like what happened here twice in the Revolution and in the Civil War,or indirectly for us through WW1 and WW2, or some would argue we were a little free-er from fear from Saddam with the Iraq war, or by taking out the Taliban in Afghanistan. The problem is we didn't finish in Afghanistan, we handed it over to other countries to finish for us. Part of that whole multilateral approach thing, which simply doesn't work, never has.
But, the bottom line is that there has to be a strong incentive to go to war other than the ideology of "freedom". We don't fight for the freedom of those from whom we would have no interdependent financial gain. Never has been that way, never will be.
There was NOTHING surprising to me at all in any of the "leaks". I am amazed anyone is surprised or shocked. I was not.
Whether or not Roosevelt knew of the hour of Pearl Harbor attacks, (which, in my jaded old age I might almost believe..almost, not quite), doesn't change the fact that it was in the USA's best interest to protect our burgeoning trade partners in Europe, and take down an increasingly dangerous Japen, and go dump out the tyrants who were destroying not only Europe and Japan, but our own country's ability to trade with any of them. The result was an explosion in growth throughout all of Europe and here, and in Japan, with growing interdependence.
Benefits: More than 60 years, and counting, of peaceful prosperity between European nations, Britain, Japan and us. Free countries don't go to war with other free countries.
Imagine the scenario 60 years later if Japan and Germany had finished solidifying their goals... Stuff of nightmares, isn't it? Imagine a world dominated by that ideology. I can easily imagine no longer existing as the USA.

Where have you been, Perspective? We had a father and a son of one of the families that funded the NAZIs before, during, and after the war BECOME OUR PRESIDENTS aka GHW Bush and his puppet GW Bush. Do you know that a NAZI was in charge of NASA at its inception as well? I bet you still believe we ACTUALLY WENT TO THE MOON. LOL- Check out book "NASA Mooned America." Have you been watching all of the NAZI legislation being passed in the USA like the Patriot Acts, the NAZI checkpoints on our streets in the name of PUBLIC SAFETY, the bills government are trying to pass to control the internet, etc. Do you even understand who the Skull and Bones crowd really is? You should read "America's Secret Establishment: An Introduction to the Order of Skull and Bones" by Anthony Sutton to get an understanding of the world around you. You should check out books like "None Dare Call It Treason (25 Years Later) by John A. Stormer, "America's Secret Establishment", "Behold a Pale Horse" by William Cooper, etc. while your at it. My point here is that we don't have a Constitutional America in reality RIGHT NOW! People like www.rbnlive.com, www.infowars.com, www.hourofthetime.com, etc. are doing their part to try and RESTORE OUR CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC AS OUR FOUNDERS ENVISIONED IT. In order to accomplish that goal, we are going to have to try and hang alot of traitors in high places in the process.
