I am thankful to all of the community members who came to the meeting and spoke out against the calendar.

It is frustrating to hear Dr. Skelly continually assert that this is something that students want. My Paly sophomore son is NOT in favor of this calendar change. His "vote" has not been counted in anything that has been done.

We heard from at least 3 current/recent Paly students last night -- bright, articulate, involved, balanced students -- who talked convincingly about how this proposed calendar would cause MORE stress. They've taken the time to really look at the calendar, and think about the ramifications. Let's listen to these students!

My eldest child has graduated college and I still have two kids in PAUSD. I can remember way back in our early elementary days getting a survey in our Friday packet about calendar change proposal. Why wasn't this type of survey sent to every family?

We got 3 mailings per child about Infinite Campus and nothing at all about the calendar either by snail mail or email. This is something that all families should be aware of.

Wasn't Skelly's platform transparency and communication? He's got an "F" in the Everyday Math and this controversy.

Huh

I can't agree with you more. He sent out messages about how he plays board games with his family, but not about important issues. That is not what I call transparency.
