Dying traditions - Halloween
Original post made

I checked PA Online to see if there will be any mention of Halloween yesterday, and found no mention of it whatsoever. No pictures of cute kids in costumes or best decorated pumpkins. Fewer and fewer houses are decorated. I understand part of the reason is changing PA demographics - immigrants for whom it is not a tradition they follow. Then there are some religious people who are actually against Halloween celebrations, but what about the rest of us? Does anyone care for keeping American traditions anymore? I also would like to ask the immigrants - what do you think of the traditions of your new home country such as putting a pumpkin out on Halloween, decorating house with Christmas lights, having a 4th of July barbecue. Religious or patriotic underpinnings aside - why not help contribute to the festive atmosphere?
