Local Event: August 21st 5K/10K run for Palo Alto Community Child Care

Original post made by Philip H, Community Center, on Aug 2, 2010

The Baylands Summer Run is a 5K/10K in the Palo Alto Baylands on August 21st that benefits Palo Alto Community Child Care! Organized by two Paly 09' grads who have a history with PACCC, this run will be a fun community event.

We're hoping to attract around 500 runners of all levels. Additionally, there will be post race goodie bags and t-shirts handed out to all sign-ups.

The race itself weaves through the marshland on the outskirts of Palo Alto and is perfect for all levels of runners and walkers.

Here is the link for the Facebook Event: Web Link

This event should be a good precursor to the Moonlight Run and Walk. Glad to see some youth doing something productive with their summer.

What a wonderful event to organize at the end of the summer vacation. Hopefully there will be a good turn-out to support the community. It should be beautiful weather and refreshing to walk or run through the ever changing Baylands.
