Thanks for the Marguerite Shuttle
Palo Alto Issues, posted by stephen levy, a resident of the University South neighborhood, on Apr 21, 2007 at 5:31 pm

Since we moved downtown I have started to use the Stanford Marguerite Shuttle Bus Service. I am writing to express my appreciation to Stanford. The wait time is amazingl;y short. The last time I used the Shuttle the driver waited a couple of extra minutes as the train was late and as a result nearly 20 people got just on time service.

On a technical level the Shuttle supports Caltrain and the buses by allowing transit riders to easily complete trips that would otherwise end too far from their final destination.

The shuttles are reasonable accomodation to clients when it is difficult to provide on site parking.

Outlying lots would be a nice plus. The freeness is nice. We seldom have to pay to ride an elevator.

I periodically do ride this service. There are periods of time I notice the buses are running when they sit and wait for their departure from the CalTrain station. In the past, I've heard diesel engines have a feature that require this procedure. Is this true?

Thank you
