"Beyond the Call" showing @ Stanford Sunday 4/15
Movies, posted by Gloria Schulz, a resident of another community, on Apr 11, 2007 at 7:53 pm

"Beyond the Call", a wonderful documentary that originally screened @ the UN Association Film Festival @ Stanford last fall, will be shown this Sunday, Apr. 15 @ 2pm at the Cubberley Auditorium in the School of Education. Ed Artis, one of the stars of the movie will be there. He started a non-profit organization many years ago to deliver medical and humanitarian aid to people in areas of the world at war where many other NGOs refuse to go. The non-profit he started, called Knightbridge Organization, was featured this last week on CBS Today, and a shortened version of the movie was recently shown on KQED. This will be the full-length version showing this Sunday, featuring some spectacular scenery from remote parts of Afghanistan, Burma, and the Phillipines.
