Re: the community calendar... The Soli Deo Gloria concert this weekend is conducted by Palo Alto resident Allen Simon, his wife Julia Simon is one of the commissioned composers, and Toby Branz is the featured mezzo soloist, a former Palo Altan who sang at J.L. Stanford Middle School (under Julia Simon) then went to Gunn High School and sang with Billy Liberatore and is just finishing up her degree in Vocal Performance at S.F. Conservatory of Music.

Soli Deo Gloria with orchestra conducted by Allen H. Simon present music composed in memory of mothers and fathers featuring the "Duruflé Requiem," works by Rutter, Daley, Chatman, and four premieres by Conrad Susa, Jay Lyon, Julia Simon, and Allen Simon.
