NY Times: Report Finds Corruption in N.Y. Theater Group

Original post made by Me Too on Apr 20, 2010

Just as we have PA Children's Theater, New York State has the New York State Theater Institute. Aside from the interesting coincidence of alleged financial scandals at each, what caught my eye was their budget - $2.1 million for an agency that serves all of NY State. Our city budget for PACT last year was $1.3 million.

Given our broken cost structure, isn't it time to recognize that PACT funding needs to be significantly reduced or eliminated? Our spending is tremendously out of line with any other comparable group.
