Thanks for a great early morning laugh. I hope the people working hard to get fiber to the home in PA will enjoy this spoof as well. It is April's Fools day after all.

Opps... its coming its coming, with great force. It was because of that fiber, what else.

Eat right - you will get FTTT.

Omaha and Albuquerque are running fiber in their sewage lines already. Just need to find though high fiber PHDs to connect the lines.

The city has a project of undergrounding our power lines that has been going on for over 40 years and only a small part of Palo Alto Utility users have it at their house. People without underground power lines have paid most of the cost of doing this!!! I predict that only a few "selected" neighborhoods will ever get fiber. The people who don't get it will be paying most of the cost of it. In the trial neighborhood, the community center area, only about 70 people signed up for it and they didn't have to pay for the installation of about $10,000 each. This is an area of hundreds of houses. This appears as a "con-job" on the taxpayers of Palo Alto as there was never a plan for bringing it to the whole of Palo Alto. There was never a survey of how many people would sign up for it and almost a $1,000,000 was spent on it including the staff time. I can't see a private firm would take on this and pay for it.
