Filling Out the Census Form Paul Losch's Community Blog, posted by Paul Losch, a resident of Palo Alto, on Apr 2, 2010 at 9:10 am Paul Losch is a member (registered user) of Palo Alto Online
I hope everyone has a Good Friday.
It was not lost on me that the US Census form was due to be sent on on April Fool's Day.
I sent mine in a few days back, no big deal to respond to it. It is part of our Constitution that requires people to do, as I did this past month, every 10 years.
It appears that this cycle has brought out all sorts of "advocates" who are admonishing the people they purport to speak for to not fill out the form.
Libertarians, Illegal Immigrants, and many folks in between.
I think this is a reflection on how the current climate socially is in a state of confusion, acrimony, and a lack of understanding about how there are basic things that made this country as great as it is.

I enumerated the people in my home, but I did not anwer any of the questions. No big deal. I fulfilled my consitutional requirement, and was happy to do so.

I listed my race as "Human" and my wife as Ukrainian.
I consider it to be unconstitutional under the equal protection provisions to separate people by race. Classification is by definition separation. Shame on you, Uncle Sam!

"First they came for..."
I guess they no longer teach history at Stanfu.
Or much of anything else.
"According to the Wallis dictionary?"
'The act of forming into a class or classes; a distribution into groups, as classes, orders, families, etc., according to some common relations or attributes.' [Wiki}
I actually made Corporal before I left because they would not let me kill people any more. [I did make Pvt twice, however.]
Shame on..., You be one of them affirmative action admits?

Irrelevant and unrelated to the issue at hand
"Or much of anything else."
See above comment

Classification, not separation

You could have turned the gun on yourself

The US Government showed that they really are April Fools by making the census date the week many people are on Spring Break/Holy Week and away from home. A better time would have been late January/early February when schools are in session and the likelihood of everyone being in their permanent homes would cause a lot less confusion.

For folk like you, Shamie, classify me 666.
Racist? You mean there is a stupid race?
Your inability to comprehend my allusions suggests you have not progressed from makin' the dozens.
