Darn - Its the word SUSTAINABLE
Around Town, posted by Diction, a resident of the Crescent Park neighborhood, on Mar 15, 2007 at 7:21 pm

Ever notice if a proposal is for "building"/spending money/floating bond measures folks in favor use the word "SUSTAINABLE".

Like "sustainable" public safety infrastructure etc. etc.

Those against always see that word with suspicious eyes.

To me the the word sustainable has completely lost its value. Folks create a new word or a phrase to sell me a bond measure. Suggestions:

1. Word that inspire fear

2. Word that inspire thoughts of casinos

3. Word that talk about crime

How about: "Sustainable, for the long-term"

Around Town, what I would like to hear from you is why you think the word 'sustainable' doesn't apply, other than you simply diagree with it.

In what context is the word 'sustainable' not appropriate? Perhaps you can 'sustain' an argument about this, rather than just raising an opinion about it.
