Palo Alto holiday garbage pickup schedule

Original post made by Sarah, Midtown, on Nov 25, 2009

In past years, I seem to remember PASCO mailing out postcards to everyone with the holiday garbage pickup schedule. I did not get one this year. Maybe the new garbage company doesn't like the idea of creating all that extra garbage, recyclable or not.

Now that Palo Alto is moving towards "Zero waste", there will no longer be garbage pickup.
Wait until they come to take out your flush toilets (remember zero waste means zero waste)

Is your pickup day (not) affected by the holiday schedule? Mine is on Mondays, so I imagine there is no disruption - so no need for any communcation to that effect. I do not ever recall getting a notice weeks in advance in any case.

Only people with garbage pickup on Thursday or Friday are affected.
