Best Italian Resteraun in Palo Alto: Vero On Bryant (next to old 42nd Street)
Restaurants, posted by Mike, a resident of another community, on Jul 5, 2009 at 11:49 am

Vero is outstanding and you MUST try it! Its location is the reason you never see a large crowd in the restaurant and it was on University Ave., it would be packed everyday. Why? Because the food and service is outstanding. If you want authentic Italian food, skip all the other restaurants and go directly to Vero. Park in the 6oo block of Bryant or in the Civic Center garage and you are one minute’s walk to Vero. Have the Taritelle al Sugo which was outstanding, or the green chile peppers fired simply in slat and pepper, they are outstanding. The owner Antonio was charming and a great host as was Vera our waitress. We will be going back every week if I can help it. If you think Italian food is the all you can eat bread sticks at Olive Garden or Fettuccine Alfredo at Chili’s, please don’t go here as you won’t like it. But, if you like real Italian food, designed by Italians, with great wines and conversation to match, go, right now to Vero’s!
