Well, actually no. Why would I care? It's so easy to read book reviews online. But I guess there's no harm in it.

I actually prefer to know what my friends and family are reading rather than unknown strangers. I find those who I know well know me and my tastes best and I them. I would rather read a book because it has been recommended to me by someone I know rather than just because it is on a "recommended" list or top ten list put out by who knows who or why.
