Five hundred turkeys needed for Christmas!
Original post made by Michael Levin, East Palo Alto, on Dec 21, 2006
A thousand families are signed up to pick up food boxes at EHP but the organization was not able to receive enough turkeys. The food bank sources EHP traditionally relies on were short too.
Although several hundred turkeys have been received, EHP is nearly out now and still needs five hundred.
There are several ways to help EHP:
1. Go to the www.ehpcares.org website to make an online donation to go towards the purchase of turkeys.
2. Write a check to Ecumenical Hunger Program and mail to or drop off at: 2411 Pulgas Avenue, East Palo Alto, CA 94303
3. Purchase fresh or frozen packaged turkeys and bring directly to EHP to drop off. EHP is located at 2411 Pulgas Ave. between Bay Road and Weeks Street.
Turkeys or donations for turkeys will be needed till 12/23/06 at 3pm. Call Maleah at 650-323-7781 for more information.
Thank you for doing what you can to help local families in need have a Merry Christmas!
