Palo Alto Issues, posted by Kedar Doshi, a resident of the Midtown neighborhood, on Jun 5, 2006 at 12:36 pm

Does anybody know what the current status of that project. A few months ago, I had read that the midtown neighborhood was going to be worked on this summer, but I havent seen any signs of that yet.

Undergrounding of utility cables

I am assuming that the project you are referring is Underground District No. 41. We (Palo Alto Utilities - Electric Engineering) are currently preparing the construction drawings which is expected to go out for bids in July/August. Once a contractor is selected and the contract is awarded, construction will begin. The tentative date for start of construction is late August.
