Why weren't the SCVAL and El Camino names submitted? You'd think that Palo Alto online would want the players from the two schools in Palo Alto represented!

Neither football coach at Paly or Gunn bothered to submit their players or their all-league teams. The De Anza Division team was requested nearly a month ago and is in possession of Palo Alto's head coach. Despite being contacted weekly since then about obtaining the team, it has not been forwarded. Gunn is in the process of looking for a new coach, thus turning in the All-El Camino Division honors evidently is not a priority. The other problem is that the SCVAL has no leadership at the commissioner level. It has never been a priority for that person to be in charge of making sure the all-league teams are published. The WCAL, PAL and WBAL have responsible people in charge who make sure their athletes are properly honored. This is an ongoing problem with the SCVAL. No all-league teams were available in cross country. A girls' water polo all-league team was available, but not one for the boys. No girls' tennis team ever surfaced. If these teams are selected, some coach/league rep has the complete teams but never makes them available for publication. It's not a matter of the Weekly not trying; we've been trying for years.
