SHP ends its football season with its only loss

There were a few long faces and bowed heads on the Sacred Heart Prep sideline as Sacred Heart Cathedral took to the field to celebrate its 38-21 victory Saturday in the Central Coast Section Small School Division championship game. But, that was a temporary condition. Despite coming up short in the last game of the season, there was too much to be proud of to leave the field downtrodden.

Thank you for the great coverage of this year's Sacred Heart Gators football team. It is a team of wonderful kids and coaches whose hard work paid off! It was a great season. One the boys and the fans will remember forever!

Go Irish! It was the first outright title in SHC's history of football dating back to 1893. I'm glad I didn't miss it.
