SPORTS: Castilleja advances to state volleyball finals

Payback can be sweet. The Castilleja girls' volleyball team learned that with its biggest victory of the season, one that propelled the Gators into the CIF State Championships this weekend. Castilleja avenged its loss in the Central Coast Section Division V championship match and earned a berth in the state finals with a sweep of top-seeded St. Francis-Central Coast Catholic on Tuesday night in Watsonville.

Congratulations girls, Go Gators!! (Minor correction: this is the third trip to the state finals for one senior, and the second trip for two others. . .)
