M-A football wins game after losing head coach

The Menlo-Atherton football team, which lost its coach on Thursday, won a game on Friday when plackicker Eric Stanske booted an 18-yard field goal with 10 seconds to play to lift the Bears to a 24-22 nonleague victory over host Leigh.

Why would a successful coach leave during the season? There must have been something significant that happened.

Did he work at the school? Did he resign from his job as well? Lot's of unanswered questions on this one.
