USA softball and volleyball teams continue to win

It was another big day for current and former Stanford athletes at the Beijing Olympics on Sunday.

The women's softball (Jessica Mendoza, Lauren Lappin, coach John Rittman) and women's volleyball (Ogonna Nnamani, Logan Tom) teams continued their winning ways, while Kerri Walsh and her teammate maintained their out-of-this-universe success in beach volleyball.

Elle Logan -- who took a year off from studies and athletics at Stanford in '07-'08 to compete for the US Olympic team -- captured a gold medal earlier today at the Beijing Olympics.

Elle rowed in the Women's 8+ for the US; the US took gold in this race for the first time since 1984.

Obviously no one cares about womens softball, that is so unfair I could cry, poor girls
