This is a huge relief. Hopefully, the shooter will be caught next - and soon. Maybe this guy's rolling over and providing good info. Mr. Lacy's loved ones are still in my thoughts and prayers.

I concur with "S." To our police officers and detectives, thank you for being so diligent and for working so hard on this case. My family has total confidence that you will also have the shooter in custody as soon as you can track him down. Good work!

A true case of the police quietly plodding on with their police work, without needing to give daily updates for reasons of keeping their investigation secret. We don't need to know any of it, just let them do their work.

Thank you PAPD.

Perhaps there will even be a way to tie this tragedy back to the Children's Theater, thereby scoring a double coup for our underappreciated police dept.

Are they going to put this guy away for life because his loser friend won't give himself up?? Is this some kind of a ploy to get the loser to come forward? The murderer is as such and has absolutely no remorse for his victim nor any sympathy for his associate who did nothing wrong except to hang out with some evildoer at the wrong time..guilt by association is not guilt. This guy needs to make a plea, rat his friend out, become the primary witness and move the heck out of California...don't go to jail for this monster.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Lacy family and I hope true justice is served in your sons honor.

Donald Robert Lee Jr. is my cousin.... and he is a very sweet and carring young man. He is a victim of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I am so terribly sorry for the victim and his family... This is an awful tragedy and I cant even imagine how this loss is effecting Philip Lacy's family and loved ones.... However Donald is a very young man who really is a good person! Donald has had it hard is whole life, his father attempted to murder his mother in front of Donald and his two sisters when Donald was only 4 years old. Donald's mother, my aunt started using crack cocaine when Donald was 5 and at the age of 7 Donalds mother left him and his twin sister with a mother and son who abussed the two children for 6 months while she was in jail and refused to tell our family where the children were before child protective services found both Donald and his twin sister and gave custody of the two to my aunt who is Donalds mother's sister.
Donald had been given hepatitis C from his abuse and has been suffering from liver damage ever since then.
He and his twin have lived with me off and on over the years and Donald has been very traumatized by so many years of abuse and torment. I could go on and on however the bottom line is Donald did not shoot that poor young man and though he knows Otto that does not make him responsible for Otto's actions.
He does not know where Otto is. No one does, the police are trying to railroad Donald because they think he can provide them with information but he doesnt have any because he doesnt know. The prosecution has no murder weapon, they have Otto on camera, they only received information about Donald after the fact and have been trying to intimidate him into giving up Otto when he truly can not.
This is such a horrible case of wrongful prosecution and the DA refuses to see this sittuation for what it really is....
Otto has already taken one mans life away I pray he is not able to take my cousins life away as well while he is free plotting to destroy yet another family.....
If anyone can help please contact me at gabimamas898@yahoo.com

I agree with with the cousin who spoke for donald don't railroad him for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The police have it on tape so they know donald did not do this.

To Donalds Cousin,

I'm sorry for the trama your cousin has experienced. However it does not excuse that fact that he was there during the murder of our beloved Phil; and instead of fleeing to New Mexico he should of went to the police anyone who is innocent of such a terrible crime like that would of. He is just as guilty!!!!!

I am so glad they got one of the SOB.Phil was a good friend of mine!It saddens me that people are so,thoughtless, careless, evil, over what 30 or 40 bucks and a gold neck less. When Otto Koloto is arrested he will be
imprisoned for life. All for what?I am writing this so,that Phil is not forgotten! For Mr.Donald Lee,We all have choices to make in life ,even
if you are not the trigger man,You set out to rob innocent people .It's just as bad as being the trigger man!If found guilty you will get life too.Your friends and family will forget about you once you get to your 8 by 6 foot cell ...
Thank You
P.A.P.D

The only thing it seems Donald Lee did was be at the wrong place at the wrong time. The fact is that Otto was the trigger man, the murderer, not Lee. Seems to me the authorities are using Lee as their scapegoat to ease the publics anger and unless Otto is found Lee may be the unfortunate fall guy. The only thing Lee is guilty of is bad choice of friends. It's not right to prosecute an innocent person for murder. Bottom line is Lee was not the gunman.

You don't get to watch someone murdered in cold blood by your acquaintance and do nothing. You don't flee the scene, you come forward as a witness and help the police find the perp.

Sorry, Lee ends up being an accessory after the fact--and that's not okay. I hope a deal can be worked out for him because he didn't pull the trigger, but he let his friend get away with murder.

That's true Lee should have went straight to the police but as far as letting his friend go, what was he supposed to do...tackle him and declare citizens arrest? The guy had just gunned down a man in cold blood. Perhaps Lee was afraid for his own life and that's why he fled. People dont think straight in the midst of chaos and witnessing someone gunned down by someone you had considered a friend could be tramatizing and frightening to anyone.

no sympathy for lee. he chose his thug friend. he will pay the price. phil's life wasn't easy either but he was kind, and gentle, and loving. i wont get to see my brother again till we reunite in Heaven. Lee's family will get to visit him. he knows somebody who knows something. i know how those thugs work. this was obviously pre-meditated. they were intent on armed robbery that night. i know the evidence. anyone who brings a gun out with him knows something can happen. go tell your sad story somewhere else. i do feel for their family, but never for the offenders. you cant use your past as an excuse. we all have a sad story. i love you Philip.

I can understand where people would be upset about this helpless, innocent man losing his life to such violence, but the fact is it is a trajedy. I know Donald personally, he IS a sweet, caring man and he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Does this make him innocent? Not completely but nobody has the right to judge him. Only god does, and I believe that he is the only person able to provide him with a true sentance. So please, do not judge a man that you do not know because nobody is innocent of anything in life. We all make mistakes, even though this is the biggest you could make, he deserves a chance to change his life around.

))) but nobody has the right to judge him.

Wow! Are you confused. Let me educate you. Your Donald was at the scene of a crime and his lack of telling the truth has placed him square in the difficulty he has now.

He needs to tell the whole truth or 12 people will listen to the facts and then pass judgment on him. It is just that simple whether you like it or not. This is not some video game or late payment on your car stereo. This is the big time and justice will be done.

Does anyone know where to get a Wanted Poster for Koloto? We need to post that face EVERYWHERE! WE MUST FIND HIM! He needs to be put to Justice. Donald is not the one people! Guilty By Association... that's not right. He didnt murder Lacy, didnt know Lacy. He didnt know Koloto's plans either, didnt even know he had a gun. Didnt even know what had happened after they left the scene. DOnalds not a fool that would go along with something so horrible, nor is he some cold hearted thug! Stupid for not going straight to the police..yes, but no murderer. Learn the facts people before you crucify someone.
Bottom line.. WE NEED TO FIND KOLOTO!!! LET GET HIS FACE OUT THERE AND KEEP IT OUT THERE UNTIL HE'S FOUND!

Donald has told the truth and will continue to do so. He will get his punishment for his role, for not coming forth immediately but that is all he is guilty of. He has nothing to hide and wants Koloto found more than anyone.

Lets focus on catching the real murderer, Otto Koloto, who is still running free! Phil Lacy deserves justice!
