Cold-case unit DOA in county

The cold-case unit that Palo Alto and other police agencies in Santa Clara County depend on has shut down — partially — as part of a $4.9 million budget cut in county services, according to a spokesman in the district attorney's office.

The guy that solved the Abby Niebauer case worked tirelessly on things that should have been caught the first time around. I just saw the story on A&E and wow ... that guy is good. We need him in Atlanta to solve our messy problems!
