An early shocker in Bank of the West tennis

She's only 15 years of age. She's been a professional tennis player for less than two years. As for career prize money, Michelle Larcher de Brito is a relative pauper on the pro tour. Despite all of those obvious shortcomings, Larcher de Brito pulled off the biggest upset thus far in the 38th Bank of the West Classic at Stanford's Tauble Family Tennis Center in Tuesday.
