Watching Shoreline Fireworks

Original post made by Jon, Midtown, on Jun 30, 2008

Can you see the Shoreline fireworks from anywhere around the PA airport/Golf Course area? What are some other places to watch them from? I've got 2 little kids, so it would more logistically feasible to see them from a car.

Never tried by the PA golf course or airport. We park at Costco and walk across Rengstorff bridge and walk alongside the Shoreline golf course and take a blanket to sit on. There are hundreds of people, the atmosphere is good, but police close off parking lots and there is a lot of traffic afterwards getting back so that is why we park at Costco.

We have a 3.5yr old son - just got potty trained ( and does not want to get into night time diapers either ). Does Shoreline have restroom facilities - if we go there to watch the fireworks. What would be a good time for us to go there to camp out ? I am assuming it takes well over 1 hour to get out ..

The parking situation is really bad - takes a really long time to get out afterwards, inexcusable. No logic from what I could see - early arrivals (before the show) are penalized upon trying to leave the area. A real bottleneck. I don't intend to ever park again at Shoreline in their official parking.
