I think the Big One is going to hit before 2012.

Summer 2012 is when all the ice melts in the artic and antarctic and there will be no ice to keep the pressure down on the plates. Everything is going to move...from Alaska to Washington, Idaho, Nevada, and California.

Great story and I hope it inspires a lot of individual as well as community action. One correction: I didn't say we should be prepared in the manner of "hands free driving." I said "hands free phoning while driving." Small but important detail! Again, thanks for focusing on an important matter that everyone must take some responsibility for.

    Hi All

Another correction for the article, I wanted to be sure everyone had a cache of water (1 gallon per person for 3-5 dyas), plus supplies for pets, a radio tuned to our local emergency station KZSU (90.1 FM) and a supply of cash - small bills. I did not say that I had money stashed around the house.

I share Judy's sentiments, and hope this article gives everyone the momentum to take one step forward in preparedness. Find someone on your block to take the lead in being the "eyes and ears" and tie into our growing neighborhood networks.

Thanks to the Weekly for raising awareness, Annette
