Tool thieves nabbed at East Bayshore construction site
Crimes & Incidents, posted by Editor, Palo Alto Online, on Apr 14, 2008 at 6:24 pm

By stopping to investigate a car parked "as if it had broken down" on the side of East Bayshore Road Saturday night, Palo Alto police apprehended two men suspected of trying to steal tools from a Google-owned construction site.

Good thing these two robbers were not in wheelchairs- they would of gotten away.

Just pointing out, these two were EPA residents.

James, they are burglars, not robbers....please get your terminology right, it might make your jokes funnier.

To Ed,

Does it really matter? The wheelchair robbery made national news. I wonder why?? That last statement was sarcasm Ed- just in case your wondering.

James you misspelled "your" you meant you're.

In answer to your question, yes, language and spelling really do matter.

James, the only thing escaping from anyone are your attempts at humor.

James, I thought it was funny.

To all those who are so quick to critize the PAPD, sometimes they do good work - congrats to the PAPD!!!

Thanks Kevin- I thought it was funny too!

James. In your (not you're) first comment, what is so funny about making fun of the police dept.? As far as the wheel chair bandit is concerned, citizens did not report the burglary promptly, so the man was long gone before the police arrived. And no one has come forward with a description of the car he apparently made his getaway in.

With crime increasing it is the responsibility of everyone to be alert and aid the understaffed police depts. of our cities. The police do a dangerous job and deserve your help.

I'm sure everyone is clear on the fact that these tool burglars are from EAST PALO ALTO! No need to point it out again for everybody.

Everyone needs to CHILL. I have many PAPD friends who think the wheelchair incident was funny too. Believe me, I support the PAPD and PAFD more than you will ever know.

I don't see anyone "jumping on the band wagon" about the comments of these guys being from EPA. What, PA doesn't have lowlifes too?

If all whities stop coming to "buy your fix" in EPA the crime will decline.

You pieces of crap can not help but come thru here. Stop the hate fools. It is not one but everyone that is affected.

Bill, stop posting!

Posted by Ed, a resident of the Downtown North neighborhood, on Apr 15, 2008 at 10:45 pm

Now, that is funny...

Robbery is a person crime.

Burglary is a property crime.

Big difference.

Who cares. Lock them up and throw away the key.
