Instead of shaking hands with his clients, Dan Sullivan shakes paws — and if he's lucky, he may even get a big, slobbery kiss. Sullivan is a professional dog walker, cat cuddler and co-owner of a local business, Palo Alto Pet Care, which he founded a decade ago with partner Miranda Hopkinson.

Pets do pay the fees. They use paypet payment service. It comes right out of their savings account.
