What happened to NOLA's?
Restaurants, posted by Mary, a resident of the Duveneck/St. Francis neighborhood, on Feb 19, 2008 at 6:12 pm

NOLA's was one of our favorite places to take friends for fun and great food! Our last three or four visits have been terrible. They removed, in my opinion, the best things on the menu and the service was beyond horrible. has anyone else had any similar experiences?

Hmmm.... Makes me wonder if the booming business of the (new) Old Pro has hurt Nola's. You're right, the food and service used to be top notch and has definitely taken a step backward of late.

Sorry to hear this. I used to go there all the time, but I too noticed the disappearing menu items and the noise level ever increasing.

Yuuummm, pitcher margaritas, alligator dumplings, collard greens, and blueberry cobbler....

We had a similar experience last time we were there. Nola's had become our favorite place for family birthdays. Now I think we may try somewhere else next time. Last time we were there we also were surprised and disappointed to see many of our favorite dishes had disappeared from the menu. We never cared for their "no seating until the entire party arrives" policy because our party always had small children and older people. We used to put up with that because we enjoyed the food. But I don't think we'll put up with it for the menu they have now. Too bad.
