City asks: What's in a name?

Palo Alto's new police building can't become the Taser International Safety Building, but it could be named after the CEO's granddaughter, with a Taser International Weapons Storage Room inside, according to guidelines suggested by the Palo Alto Policy and Services Committee Tuesday evening.

I see that Kishimoto and Drekmeier have found something else besides climate change to waste our time on.

I have no problem with offering naming rights to either individuals or corporations.

The backside of the new Public Safety Building which butts up against the railroad tracks might be a great place for selling naming rights or advertising. You would only see it from a train.

This is not a waste of time so long as it makes money for the City of Palo Alto.

Until Trojan brand condoms or Glock firearms comes up and submits a bid with cash, let's leave the far-fetched scenarios alone and worry about important stuff.
