For all the uninformed criticism directed at the police, gratitude and respect for being there to handle an obviously dangerous situation. I am sure this type of thing happens more than we care to think about.

g.

Can this really be right? Are racial assaults by whites going on under our noses without notice? Please list the racial assaults by whites committed in Palo Alto over the past year. I'm waiting to be educated.

They must have assaulted a white parolee who was in the car with a gun!

Well not all the officers involved were white. Does it really matter? What does any of

this have to do with the situation? Were you there? They have not identified the

parolee, so why would you think he might be a certain race ? And who really cares ?

This must have been one really hard desparado they were trying to catch!! All that man power~ even the helicopter!

I notice here in Palo Alto, when an officer stops a car, by the time he gets to your window, there is a backup police officers car rolling behind the officer that stopped you.

TEAMWORK.

Better safe percaution, I understand that. Officers on patrol have to live on the edge, encounter the unknown. Pretty stressful, I imagine. But then again,I sure felt like a criminal last time I was ever stopped. (Tail light was out.)The officer was not very friendly.
