Michael Liftin ---we will miss you!

Original post made by Denise Sander, Barron Park, on Feb 2, 2008

I was so saddened today when I heard Of Michael's passing. After decades of devotion to the young people in our community, it breaks my heart that in the last few days of his life, he was under a cloud of suspicion. I don't know who came up with the idea that Michael, Pat, Allison or Richard could possibly have anything to do with missing funds, when a simple interview with anyone who has ever spent any time at the Children's theater would have made it clear, that all four of these people spend all of their time at the theater. In fact during the summer Wingspread production they are there from 9:00am until 3:00am and back at 9:00am. With such devotion, I think we can all rest assured that they have the theater's best interest at heart and would not do anything to harm it. Obviously, there is a hidden motif for this investigation and I think who ever is behind it, should be very ashamed of themselves.

I hope that any memorial for Michael will be in a place big enough to hold the crowd - maybe Spangenberg Theater at Gunn - or maybe Maples Pavillion at Stanford. Michael, you are a giant among men, and this city is a city in mourning. We love you - and Pat - and Allison- the entire staff.
