According to the Weekly, Palo Alto and the owners of the Stanford Shopping Center are discussing another expansion to the center...to possibly include a hotel.

It seems to be that the shopping center has fallen behind others in terms of its entertainment offerings and draw for night-time patronage. I think a hotel and perhaps a multi-screen movie theater would be an interesting addition to bring some new appeal to the center, as well as some new tax revenue to the city.

I hope these talks progress quickly.
