Palo Alto firm teams with Israel on electric cars

A Palo Alto-based company will provide Israel with massive infrastructure to put electric cars on the road.

This sounds wonderful, hopefully though it will be available to more areas than just Israel. It may be a great little car for commuting around silicon valley, for instance.

What will be the source of the electrcity, in Israel, to charge up all those batteries?

I guess this is good news considering Tesla Motors is DOA.

Tesla Motors had a major hiccup delaying mass production for a year, but they are hardly DOA.

This is a first step to a practical personnel vehicle. It is expensive and limited: just as the first gasoline vehicle were 100 years ago! But it's a beginning! Just think, the highest flying airplane is electric. Submarines run submerged on battery power.
The development of LiPo batteries has skyrocketd in the past few years. What's in the future? it definetley is not fossil fuels! They will be around for many tears as a declining transportation meduim
But the future is something else!
