Palo Alto soccer teams have key goals ahead

The final matches of 2007 weigh heavily for the Palo Alto boys' and girls' soccer teams. Neither wants to take a loss into the new year and neither wants to lose their standing in their respective SCVAL De Anza Division races. Both will be back in action on Friday with victories on their mind. The boys will play host to Santa Clara at the Mayfield Soccer Complex at 3:30 p.m., the same time the Paly girls will be playing host Mountain View.

FYI, the Paly vs. Mtn. View Girls soccer match originally scheduled for Dec. 21 has been postponed till Jan. 7.
