10% Back to Schools
Schools & Kids, posted by Edith, a resident of the Palo Verde neighborhood, on Jul 31, 2006 at 12:31 pm

Safeway is donating 10% of your grocery puchases of participating products to the school of your choice whenever you shop between now and September 5, 2006.

Just look for the "10% Back to Schools" label, buy participating products and use your Safeway Club Card at checkout.

If you are already enrolled in eScrip, your 10% contribution will be donated to your school automatically.

If you are not yet enrolled in eScrip, a "Rewards Certificate" (showing your total contribution and a redemption code) will print on the back of your receipt the first time you shop after September 10. (This "Rewards Certificate" will continue to print on the back of your receipt every time you shop between September 10 and October 7.) Give this "Rewards Certificate" to your school by October 13.

If you are not familiar with eScrip, it is a fantastic fundraising program that enables merchants to contribute to the school or organization of your choice. You simply register your existing grocery club cards, credit cards and debit cards and use them whenver you shop. It's easy and secure, and once you've signed up, a percentage of EVERY purchase you make using your registered cards at participating merchants is donated to your group. You don't have to do anything else! And, it doesn't cost you anything! You are going to shop anyway, so why not have a percentage of your purchase benefit your neighborhood school?

For a complete list of participating merchants, and to register with eScrip, please visit www.escrip.com. Look for the heading "Make a Difference in Four Easy Steps" and click on the words "Sign Up - It's Free!". Key in your zip code for a list of eScrip participating schools in your neighborhood, then follow the remaining registration instructions.

On the similar lines Web Link donates some money to your preferred institute for every search you conduct ... check it out (I am not affiliated with this search engine :) )
