The reason Stanford clinched at least a tie for the Pac-10 title was that USC upset Washington, 25-30, 29-31, 32-30, 30-27, 18-16, on Friday night, giving the Huskies their third conference loss. Stanford leads the pack at 15-2 (26-2) with one match remaining against California on Friday night at 7 p.m. in Maples Pavilion. Washington is 13-3 (24-3) while USC is 12-4 (23-4) each with two matches left. "It's nice that we only have to focus on one team this week," Stanford junior middle blocker Foluke Akinradewo said after the Arizona match. "I'm sure we'll still work on the little things this week in practice."
