Does anything ever satisfy any of our large number of boards/commissions in our city?

I walk in the Baylands regularly, and I appreciate GOOGLE being considerate of their surroundings and mush prefer the subdued exterior they are suggesting in that location. Trust members of the Architectural Review Board to come back with stupid ideas about bright colors on the exterior of the building - how inappropriate at that location.

I am sure GOOGLE is designing the interior with lots of bright colors for the children but must it say: "I'm a Day Care Center" on the outside?

Incidentally, I think it would be a lot safer for the young children of GOOGLE employees if this building blends in with the buildings that surround it. I don't think GOOGLE wants to advertise it as a "Day Care Center". There are important security implications to be considered.
