Palo Alto Weekly Censors Negative Comments about Bush, War & Rumsfeld
Original post made by Palo Alto Resident, Downtown North, on Nov 5, 2007
My list of adjectives negatively portraying President Bush were completely removed.
And the topic on Rumsfeld having a court action filed against him for crimes against humanity has been locked against comments - except the two comments who mentioned that it didn't mattered stayed on unedited.
Why? Is the Weekly not permitted the free expression of ideas? Or simply playing along refusing to fearing accusations of being "unpatriotic"?
We're all past that. I'm disheartened to see the Weekly succumbing to a completely failed medium of community expression.
