PA National 10-11s reach Sectional Championship
Sports, posted by Theresa Carey, a resident of the Crescent Park neighborhood, on Jul 24, 2006 at 12:25 pm

They haven't played any 11-inning, 45-run marathons, but the Palo Alto National 10-11 All-Stars are still undefeated going into the championship game of the Sectional tournament, being played in Fremont.

The championship game is tonight at 5:30PM on the Little League field located behind the Stratford School, 5301 Curtis St, Fremont 94538.

In Saturday's game against Manteca, Clay Carey launched a grand slam in the bottom of the 4th. Prior to his 4th homer of the post-season, Palo Alto was down 5-3. Carey's slam put his team up 7-5, and an insurance run in the 5th gave PAN an 8-5 victory.

If Palo Alto wins this game, the team advances to the NorCal Division 2 tournament. If they lose, there will be a challenge game played on Tuesday night for the championship.
