didn't finish...

I needed the good laugh, and what was so funny is that I failed to see the price fluctuations in today's dollars for the last 50 years..which would have revealed that people paid the equivalent of $6/gallon in the 70s. Guess it was because Bush was in control then, too..

No. OPEC controlled oil prices in the 70's, not market forces. Maybe you're not old enough to remember.

With limited data sets, you can support almost any conclusion you like, including a conspiracy theory. Not a reflection on this, true of most natural & human phenomena. So this doesn't say much to me...
