Police identify victim in Newell stabbing

Police have identified the woman who was found stabbed to death in an East Palo Alto apartment as 47-year-old Philomena Ashford-Anderson, according to an East Palo Alto police press release.

This is someone I know and this is very sad. My condolences to Phil's family. God will get you through this. I'm praying for you all!

Hmmm is a registered user.

Did the neighbors hear anything? Was this beloved community member asleep when she was attacked? This happened in a densely populated area, so it's hard to imagine that no one heard an argument, a struggle or her being attacked.

Reading the news about violence against women just in the Bay Area lately is mind-boggling.
