The Sergey Brin and Anne Wojcicki Foundation donation to The Magical Bridge Playground

Original post made by The Magical Bridge Playground, Midtown, on Jul 1, 2013

Today was a VERY MAGICAL MONDAY - as we recognize one of the most innovative couples we know, and welcome them to our magical circle of supporters. Sergey Brin & Anne Wojcicki have embraced the power of inclusion, and through their foundation are the latest donors to contribute towards building of the Magical Bridge Playground.

"We are now one step closer to building the nation's most innovative and inclusive playground," shared Olenka Villarreal, founder of MB.

On behalf of the Magical Bridge Playground committee, we are still looking to raise $800k. More information about the Magical Bridge Playground can be found read at Web Link

Our Mission:

We believe that every child should have the right to play in a safe and inclusive community environment. Our vision is to have a community without physical or social barriers that celebrates all of its members. To that end, we are committed to building the nation's first, fully inclusive public playground in Palo Alto so that families of all abilities can experience the joy of outdoor play.

The Wojcickis are a very socially-conscious family. They have raised three wonderful daughters, one of whom married Sergey Brin, transforming him into a socially conscious person. Thank God for the Wojcicki Family! They even managed to transcend the traditional hatred between the Poles and Russians!

This is a wonderful donation, they are a generous family. It is great that the Magical Bridge and its founder, Olenka are thanking them in the press. As a donor to the Magical Bridge, I would have appreciated a thank you also (in the press is not necessary, a quick note or email would have sufficed),

To all the non-profits looking for donations, thank your donors, just like you write to your Grandma when she sends you a birthday present.
