Gunn's Robinson, Menlo's Price reach state meet finals

Sarah Robinson and Maddy Price are unquestionably two of the best juniors in the Central Coast Section when it comes to track and field. Thus, it shouldn't be much of a surprise that both athletes will be running on Saturday in the finals of the CIF State Track and Field Championships at Veterans Memorial Stadium on the campus of Buchanan High in Clovis.

"Also in the same event, Palo Alto senior Victor Du came up short as he stayed true to his plan and took only one jump -- reaching 21-2 1/2."

According to the results, Victor took all three of his jumps: 21-02.5, foul, 21-00.75.
