Smoke from fires impacting air quality

The smoke from two large Northern California wildfires has cast a pall over much of the Bay Area this morning and has impacted the air quality because of particulate matter in the air, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District has warned.

Just amazing how far smoke and fumes can reach.

At least the Sierra Clubbers among us have the satisfaction of seeing trees rescued forever from the fate of profitable employment.

I have to shake my head at the needless fury of this fire..I believe i just read that brush clearing and thinning hasn't been done in 50 years in the name of "the environment".

Even so, I am amazed to learn that we have more trees now in the United States than there were when Europeans first arrived here.
